Natural Kyanite can be blue, green, bluish-green, black, or orange.  Most Kyanite is translucent and a bit delicate.   Kyanite forms sedimentary rocks that undergo a metamorphosis that changes the composition of the minerals in clay.  The formation of Kyanite looks like blades of crystals visible in the beads of this necklace.  Kyanite exists in Myanmar, Cambodia, Kenya, Nepal, Tibet, Brazil, Switzerland, Russia, and the USA.
